Managing Tasks

Create, edit, prioritize, and track tasks. Tasks can originate from AI extraction or be created manually.

Task Sources

Tasks in ScenIQ come from two sources:

  • AI-extracted — Automatically created when a meeting recording is processed. These include evidence spans linking back to the transcript.
  • Manual — Created by you directly from the Tasks page.

Both types support the same full set of features once created.

Creating a Task

Navigate to Tasks

Click Tasks in the sidebar to open the tasks page.

2

Click "New Task"

The task creation modal will appear with fields for all task properties.

List View

The default view shows tasks in a filterable, sortable table. You can:

  • Filter by status — All, Pending, Blocked, Active, or Done.
  • Search — Find tasks by title or assigner.
  • Sort — By Priority, Due Date, or Created Date.
  • Paginate — 10 tasks per page with navigation controls.

Switch to Graph View

Toggle between List and Graph view using the view switcher at the top of the page. The Graph View shows task dependencies as an interactive network diagram.

Editing a Task

Click any task to open its detail page. From there you can:

  • Change the status via the dropdown in the header.
  • Edit the title, description, and due date inline.
  • Manage dependencies (what this task depends on and what it blocks).
  • Delete the task with the delete button.

Task Statistics

The Tasks page includes a statistics panel with three visualizations:

  • Status distribution — Interactive pie chart of task statuses. Click a segment to filter.
  • Priority breakdown — Bar chart showing task counts per priority level.
  • Task insights — Key metrics including completion rate, number of tasks with dependencies, and average dependencies per task.
